WingDing is a place where magic time exists 24-7, vibe is king, and some of the gear works some of the time. Imagine musicians in the same room at the same time, surrounded by a mess of patch cords, pro-tools, and funky mics. worlds collide and spirits fly in this little homespun studio, tucked away inside the depths of a secluded forest hills compound.

WingDing was founded as a karmic playhouse where george marinelli could escape to record the work of his own musical pursuits, as well as other like-minded expatriates living on the artistic fringe of the music city. the studio was a magnet for songs with edge, a reason for being, and something different to say, musically or otherwise.

before long, the WingDing gift shop became crowded with clients hanging out, sipping coffee and waiting to get a piece of the vibe, and a reason to remember why music mattered in the first place. remember 45s and EPs, Stax and Motown and Studio One, a top 40 full of all musical styles, and hit records that blew your mind with experimentation? marinelli and fellow musical expatriate, doug hoekstra remember, and late one night after a session, they decided to do something about it.

and so, now we have WingDing Records, dedicated to those dusty sensibilities, the notion of recapturing the living room, and bringing the result back to the 21st century marketplace. we offer affordable, funky and cool EP and CD releases by quality artists we’re proud to stamp with the seal of WingDing approval. please peruse our site, sample something, and better yet, buy the real deal.
